History & Information

The Bank of America Plaza was built in 1977 in Downtown Tucson ,Arizona. It took over the top spot from the Pima County Legal Services Building, which was the tallest building from 1967-1977. It was the tallest building in Tucson from 1977-1986 when the UniSource Energy Tower took over the top spot. The building though only 16 floors, is 22 storys and still second tallest in Tucson.[1] It is located at 33 North Stone Av.,or the corner of Stone Av. and Pennington St., just to the north of the city center.[2] Its commercial function is a Commercial office building.[3] The Bank of America Plaza is one of 3 major skyscrapers in the Downtown Tucson area that compose the highest part of the skyline of Tucson, the other two being the UniSource Energy Tower and Pima County Legal Serivices Building.
